Plans
Upgrade when your project grows, downgrade when it doesn't need as much, or stay free as long as you like. You manage all of it from your Billing page — no emails, no waiting.
Plans on two tracks
Because Riven has two tracks — static sites and web services — you have a plan on each track, managed independently. Upgrading your web service plan doesn't touch your static plan, and the other way around.
So you might be on the free static plan and a paid web service plan at the same time, or any combination that fits what you're running. Each track bills and upgrades on its own.
Upgrading
Upgrade when you need more — more services, more compute, more bandwidth, or the always-on option. To upgrade:
- Go to your Billing page.
- Pick the track you want to upgrade and choose a higher plan.
- Confirm and pay through Razorpay.
Your new plan's higher limits apply right away, so you can immediately deploy more or use the extra compute.
Downgrading
If your project doesn't need as much anymore, you can move to a lower plan. Before you downgrade, make sure you're within the lowerplan's limits — for example, if a plan allows fewer services, you'llneed to be under that number first.
If you're over a lower plan's limits — too many services, or usage beyond what it allows — Riven will ask you to get within them before the downgrade goes through. This keeps anything from being cut off unexpectedly.
A downgrade typically takes effect from your next billing cycle, so you keep what you paid for until the current cycle ends.
Changing a service's plan
Plans apply per track, and your services on that track share thetrack's plan allowances. When you change a track's plan, it affects all your services on that track together — their combined limits go up or down with the plan.
The always-on option, where available, is chosen per service — so on a plan that supports it, you can keep some web services scaling to zero while one stays always on.
Plans and limits
Each plan sets how many services you can run, how much compute each gets, and your bandwidth. When you try to go past a limit — like deploying one more service than your plan allows — Riven tells you clearly and points you to upgrade.

Staying on free
You never have to upgrade. Both tracks have a real free tier — Static Free and Web Service Ankur — that you can use indefinitely, as long as you stay within their limits. It's not a trial; there's no clock running out.
Upgrade only when your project actually outgrows free. Until then, ship for ₹0.
